Description
CHAMOMILE
Chamomile has mild anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties and has a slightly relaxing effect on the stomach and intestines; it has a protective effect on the stomach lining and reduces muscle cramps. It is used for sore throat, cough, colds, nervousness, oral infections, stomach and intestinal issues, and skin problems such as inflamed or poorly healing wounds, diaper rash, and some minor skin infections.
Usage:
Common cold: You can improve nasal breathing by steaming with hot water, possibly with a hot chamomile infusion. Steaming is not suitable for children because they can easily burn themselves on the hot liquid.
Cough: Coughing occurs due to irritation of the airways. This irritation can be caused by a viral infection, asthma, smoking, or a medication with cough as a side effect. Coughing has a protective function: it helps remove foreign particles from the airways. If you have phlegm when coughing, you can facilitate the expectoration of mucus by steaming with hot water to which chamomile has been added.
Sore throat and mouth infections: Chamomile tea can be used as a cold mouthwash, as a gargle for sore throats, and as a rinse for infections and sores in the mouth.
Anxiety and tension: Chamomile tea can be used for nervousness.
Stomach issues:Chamomile tea is used for an upset stomach. Drink 2 cups after eating, possibly with jasmine.
Skin infections: Chamomile is used for minor skin inflammations. It has a mild disinfectant effect. After brewing the tea, the chamomile is sterile and can be applied to the affected area on a gauze.
Diaper rash: Chamomile is used for diaper rash. It has a mild disinfectant effect and reduces itching. Let approximately 20 grams of chamomile steep in boiled water (50cc) for 20 minutes, then mix it with pure beeswax.
